Our newly designed fire-rated floor door – model FHD, now offers larger sizes in 1, 2 and 3 hour ratings, and more standard features.  The FHD Series replaces our previous FHD Series, and is manufactured in two locations.

Larger Maximum Sizes

  • 1 & 2 Hour: 64″ x 60″ (self-closing feature available up to 42” x 60”)
  • 3 Hour: 42″ x 60″ or 48″ x 48”

The New Series Includes these Standard Features Installed:

  • Aluminum tread plate cover provides a slip-resistant surface
  • Recessed turn handle for easier access
  • Self-closing mechanism with 165° F fusible link for sizes up to 42” x 60”
  • Durable stainless hinge, spring and cylinders, slam latch and handle
  • Wood and concrete installation kit included
  • High temperature ceramic fiber insulation
  • Rated for a live load of 150 lbs. per square foot

Optional Features Include:

  • Smooth aluminum door panel, or recessed door panel
  • 3/16” steel tread plate
  • Detention lock option for institutional use
  • Bituminous coating for concrete installation
  • Padlock hasp on bottom for added securit

UPDATED ORDER PICK UP PROCEDURES –

Please place all orders in one of the following ways. We do not accept counter-sales.

You Will Be Notified When Your Order is Ready

Back Loading Dock – Hours 8:00-11:30 am, 12:30-3:30 pm

Press the buzzer by the white door and state the company name who you are picking up for with PO number if available.

Couriers – if you do not know the information above, please ask your dispatch before arriving.

Sign the yellow paper and for couriers write your driver number.

The shipper will load you if items are on skids. Truck must be on flat, level surface.  We will not load or unload with the forklift if at an angle.

Reception Desk – Hours 8:00-11:30 am, 12:30-3:30 pm

Call on intercom at the front door and state the company name who you are picking up for with PO number if available.

Maxam Metal Products Limited has joined another well-known commercial construction products manufacturer – Activar Construction Products Group, Inc. (ACPG).  ACPG has distributed Maxam access panels and floor doors for the past eight years under their JL Industries brand and are looking forward to offering more of the Maxam product lines.

ACPG will be manufacturing Maxam products in British Columbia and Minnesota which results in improved lead times and in some cases, lower freight costs when shipping from a closer manufacturing location.

Maxam customers can continue to order from their current contact at Maxam.
