The Uninsulated Van-Met Model FRK is tested and listed by Intertek (Warnock Hersey) for a two hour fire-rating and is designed to maintain the continuity of a fire barrier when installed in a vertical separation. Model FRK is designed specifically for plaster, ceramic tile, or other wall materials to conceal the exterior flange, leaving only the door visible. The flanges have a metal lath spot welded to the frame to accept mortar or other coatings
