COVID-19 PICK UP PROCEDURES — BACK LOADING DOCK

No Counter-Sales.  All orders must be placed in advance by either phone, email or fax.  Pick up is by appointment only during the following hours: 

 Hours 8:00 to 11:30 am
12:30 to 3:45 pm

 Ring bell by man door and wait for overhead door to open.  

Please do not enter shop.

Maintain distance from Maxam staff at all times.  If you enter our premises and wander around you will be asked to leave.

Please state who you are picking up for.   Couriers – if you do not know, please ask your dispatch before ringing the doorbell.  

Paperwork will be left on the item being picked up for you to sign.  Sign Maxam’s yellow copy & take the pink packing slip. Leave Maxam’s yellow copy on item and go to your truck.

The shipper will load you if items are skids. Other items will be dropped at door or outside for you to load by yourself.

Truck must be on flat, level surface.  We will not load or unload with the forklift if at an angle.

COVID-19 PICK UP PROCEDURES — RECEPTION

There will be no counter-sales. Orders must be placed in advance by phone, email or fax. Pick up by appointment only.  

To minimize potential exposure to yourself and our staff, the following protocols have been put in place for order pick-ups at reception:

  • We will phone you when your order is ready for pick up at reception.
    (Note: Ignore the “no truck entry” sign at the entrance driveway.  We are shipping from the front reception office.)
  • Pick-up hours at reception are adjusted to allow our staff to arrive and leave the premises without courier or customer contact.
  • Pick up hours are only as follows:  Morning: 8:15 am to 11:30 am; Afternoon: 1:pm to 3:45 pm
  • If picking-up the same day and weather permitting, the order will be placed outside the door with the packing slip attached. The date and name of the person picking up will be written on the packing slip — there is nothing to sign.
  • If you cannot pick up the order on the day we phone you or the day after, please phone us before coming, giving us at least one-hour notice.
  • If the order is not outside due to weather conditions or you were unable to give us notice, please phone when you arrive or ring the doorbell – the door will be locked.

Kindly wait for us to unlock the door and return to the office before you enter the lobby.  Only one person will be admitted.  We will show you which order to take.   The packing slip will be attached – there is nothing to sign – we will note the name of the person picking up the order.

March 2020 COVID-19 Update

To: Our valued MAXAM METAL PRODUCTS Customers

COVID 19 has become a global pandemic and is impacting our families, communities, and businesses.

Here at MAXAM METAL PRODUCTS, we are taking the risk of COVID 19 very seriously and are taking precautions to help mitigate risk of transmission.

We intend to do everything possible to ensure that you the customer and MAXAM METAL PRODUCTS staff and family stay healthy and safe. We have set up multiple cleaning stations and have mandated everyone entering our facility to wash their hands at the entrance.

Employees have been advised to use antiseptic wipes / sprays on common surfaces and door handles multiple times throughout the day. We have shared policies and procedures with our employees on how to prevent transmission and general information about the symptoms. All staff have been asked to stay at home if they are not feeling well or show any signs of COVID 19 and seek medical assistance if necessary.

Orders and quotes are being conducted by phone, email, and fax only. Pick-up procedures and locations will be explained at that time.

We are happy to serve you and feel confident that we are doing everything in our power to provide a healthy environment for our customers and staff.

British Columbia Centre for Disease Control is the best source for COVID-19 health information for BC and our procedures are updated as needed to the latest recommendations.
