The Uninsulated Van-Met Model FDB is tested and listed by Intertek (Warnock Hersey) for a two hour fire-rating and is designed to maintain the continuity of a fire barrier when installed in a vertical separation, leaving only the door panel visible. Model FDB is manufactured with a galvanized steel drywall bead taping flange. Drywall compound is applied over the beading when drywall joints are finished.
